The observation that having kids takes a toll is entirely correct, and I see nothing wrong about enjoying one's childfree life (I'm childfree myself). But people should remember that society wouldn't be functioning if everybody stopped having children. People who choose to have children shouldn't be looked down on because they make a different choice, but should be helped by society and other people -in particular when taking care of children is exhausting and costly, as many comments correctly observe. I think this is something many childfree people do not appreciate enough.

And conversely, people who choose to be childfree shouldn't be pressured into having children. Not having children does not mean you'll end your life alone.
