I woke up, made coffee, played Animal Crossing. Spouse slept in. I made French toast after he woke up. Started doing laundry around noon, but the machines in my building are on the fritz, so I put in a maintenance request. Saw my neighbor and his dog on the way back from the laundry room. Checked the mail late afternoon after we saw the mail truck. I was expecting a package from my uncle, but it didn’t arrive until the following Tuesday. We watched the NFL games (Rams at Packers and Ravens at Bills). Had green chili enchiladas for dinner. Watched an episode of Dexter and went to bed around 10:30.

As far as red herrings go, I reorganized my file drawers recently and shredded several things I no longer needed. I also recently opened checking and savings accounts that are separate from my and spouse’s joint accounts. It was just because my old bank is small and in a different state and I finally got around to finding a new local bank (I use the account for my ‘fun money’, spouse also has a personal account). I also researched some graduate programs in states that are far from where I live (for purpose of comparison to a local program). But clearly I was preparing/socking away money to run away and start a new life somewhere else!
