One time, back when I was 19 or 20, I was at my apartment with one of my friends, we were just smoking weed, chilling, and listening to music. A Frank Ocean song came on, and I was singing along, then I stopped and said "fuck I love Frank Ocean's voice" and my friend says that I sounded just like him. I was flabbergasted. I think weed had let down my guard enough that I was willing to sing along with music I love and not care what people thought, but I never thought I had a particularly good voice or anything. Frank has one of my absolute favorite modern singing voices, so I was truly flattered.

Frankly, I still don't think I have a particularly good voice, but I've always remembered that compliment over the last decade or so since it happened.

The other one that has always stuck with me was when I was working housekeeping at a resort at Glacier National Park, I knocked on a door and this elderly lady, late 60's or 70's opens the door and says "wow, you are gorgeous." I just said thank you, and turned beat red I'm pretty sure, but it has stuck with me since.
