I only like those when they come from someone who matters to me. So like, the best compliment I got was from my best friend/gf when we were just sitting with another buddy. She mentioned being proud of me and saying how delightful I was during this charity bake sale event that I organized for her. Then she turned to me and smiled, even pinching my cheeks.

And damn, I felt so happy. The other compliments don't matter at all, I only care about the one from the person whose opinion I value most. Ngl some can be pretty annoying to get, because I find it boring. They typically have the same topic range and I rather just get away and be happy with the people who actually matter to me.
