Men of Reddit, what are some things women THINK we like, but couldn’t be more wrong about?

Kinda reminds me of a date I went on a million years ago. He picked me up at my place, and I took him to a near by lake where we watched a meteor shower. I tried to sort of cuddle up next to him, but he just acted stiff.

We went to a drive-in movie, and I sat there with my had close to his, and he just straight refused to hold my hand.

He took me home, and I lived with my parents at the time, so it wasn't like I was gunna bring him inside to do him, but I asked if he wanted to come in and watch some TV, and he said no, he had to wake up early.

So I'm assuming we had a bad date, and he just wasn't into me. And a day or 2 later just happened to meet up with a guy I knew from Junio High, We hooked up and started dating. I get a call from the bad date guy and he wants to go out again. I am so confused, I apologize, told him I was dating someone, and I thought from the first date that he wasn't very into me.

He starts freaking out saying that we had a connection and he was just trying to respect me. It was awkward.
