Men of reddit, what makes you feel unappreciated?

I tutored a girl in my class on a topic so she could get her grades up. She didn’t focus very much, and ultimately made little improvement.

She ended up getting a B+ on her assessment task though, so it worked out. I got an A+.

Fast forward to the end of year assembly, they’re handing out academic awards for each subject, there’s also a couple for the schools core values and everything else.

I hadn’t won any of these awards, and it was a fairly well known fact that the girls had almost always won all of them in the school even when going back through the schools history. However, it was my first year at this school, and I was pretty determined to get one as a “Good job,” I guess.

They get to the award for the topic, for the student which performed the best in, the topic I had tried to tutor her in, and the topic that I had got the best grade out of anyone in the class in... And she gets the award.

It was a pretty big “Frick you” ngl. I know it’s just a petty award but damn.

The teacher just said she must’ve forgotten, and that there was always next year... But there wasn’t. ☹️
