Men of reddit, what makes you feel unappreciated?

I had something similar that still grinds my gears. It was the week before Valentines' and my (ex) GF was dropping hints that she really wanted me to make my stuffed tomatoes. They are super good and can take a little while to make. Valentines' day comes, I tell her to come to my apartment and she won't have to lift a finger. I clean the place, get a nice bottle of wine, and make the dinner. She gets there as I pull the food out of the oven. She gets a disappointed look on her face and says, "How is this different than any other night?" This started a big fight that was only resolved when we got chicken nuggets and ice cream. To this day, I still don't understand what that woman wanted.
