Men of reddit, what is something that you discovered about your SO only after becoming parents?

What an amazing thread to demonstrate how dysfunctional the Reddit community’s value system is. Being the partner in a baby-raising couple who is on Reddit posting early-thread answers about how patient their partner is, is an objectively useless sort of person to aspire to be to.

But wait — if you have a patient partner, isn’t it only right to appreciate them? Obviously? But if you are dealing with a baby screaming at night and your partner is posting on Reddit about how patient you are no matter how they are feeling or how you are feeling, even if it not at the same time, you might be dealing with a net-sick induced psychopath. Your partner is not wrong about you — keep being patient and keep taking care of your child. But see if you can gently get them off the internet and invested enough in raising the child to not have time to celebrate your patience about waking up in the middle of the night to deal with the baby.
