Men of reddit, what sucks about being a man?

I don't think people realize just how hurtful it can be to see people casually say "men are pigs", or to a lesser extent "men are emotionally clueless"... Really anything along the lines of "men are this way". For that matter it's hurtful for people to say "man up", or see homosexuality or effeminacy as shameful or as weakness. It leaves me feeling like I'm judged by strangers just for the class I was forced into before I was even born, and it leaves male-ness feeling like a prison that God forbid you try to break out of.

Honestly at this point I don't even necessarily want to be a man. It's an emotional burden and always has been. Not to imply women have it easier, of course not. This is a male-dominated world, after all. Men and women have some different struggles, but it seems like we all share some similar struggles too due to our genders.

Hmm, it's almost like gender is a form of societal coersion created to divide us and reduce our values, and make us easier to control. Fuck this shit, man. This world is BS. Take me back to my home planet.
