Men of Reddit: What % of your male friends do you know essentially nothing about their sex life?

I just want to offer a counterpoint:

Even though we all want to healthy, open communication in our romantic relationships, sometimes it can be hard to talk to your partner about their preferences or yours. Particularly when you're inexperienced. It's nice to be able to talk to your friends and get tips/know you're not alone.

Recently one of my younger guy friends approached me for advice. He wanted to know if girls need to orgasm every time they have sex, and whether or not wetness is a definitive indication of arousal. I told him my experience, recommended my favorite lube, and that was that.

I don't gossip about my sex life with my boyfriend, but I'm a sexual person and I'm open about it if someone asks. I would never share anything that I knew he felt uncomfortable with me sharing. But neither do I think it is healthy to keep yourself entirely locked away. Sex isn't the most personal, intimate experience you can EVER HAVE and you should NEVER tell another soul. It's a normal biological function that pretty much all of us do. No big shame or secret. Just be respectful.
