Men of Reddit, what is your honest opinion on modern day feminism?

I think there's genuine feminism and there's whatever is being solid to people. One can argue that's the case with a lot of ideologies. Once the system figures out to commodify an ideology, whatever authentic parts of remain gets pushed to the fringe of thought, or completely ignored. An honest exploration of gender equality where both genders are looked at critically is not exactly the best strategy for making bucks and keeping that division right and proper. So instead you get something else. Something aggressively one-sided. Something that generates argument and a competition for cool points rather than discussion and some enlightenment on the topic.

As a dude, I honestly consider myself a feminist ally, or a feminist, ideologically. But you won't see me engaging is "radical" discourse without some evenhanded input. I don't worship trend.
