Most of it was in hs I was pretty akward/shy being a transfer from a different part of the city so I knew nobody. Girls were pretty quick to talk to me but for some reason I never picked up any of the hints as I was hoping to make friends to sit with during lunch over anything else.
Anyways, there were two or three times looking back that someone wanted more than being just friends that I was just overly oblivious too.
One was at a get together of one friend of mine later in freshman year. Everyone happened to pair off into different parts of the house. I was in the living room with her and I figured everyone was going home or getting ready to go home. I text my parents to come pick me up .-.
Sophomore year I was waiting with friends in the school parking lot and somehow became the center of a "roast" session. It was the usual, you're so gay insert joke here and A group of girls I had class with came up and one of them flat out said, "itdoesntmatter can get it whenever he wants, he just has to ask." then proceeded to walk off. Everyone did the oooohhhhhhhhhhhh" high fives go around and I'm just sitting there like this. Nothing came from that.
Another time was in snack bar line an older (junior? senior?) would never charge me for my chips and drink. We'd chat for a bit and I'd go on my way. One of the older upperclassman noticed and came out from the bar and told me "you'd be such a player if you weren't such a bitch huh?" MFW.
Countless other instances of these types of situations happening but I never made any advancements. It's why I'm a firm non-believer in people being friendzoned, just little bitches. It's all good though, i enjoyed HS. Made some good friends and won some popularity contests senior year when I finally decided to actively stop being a social retard.
