Our relationship with our wives can be complicated. They can be our friends, lovers, mothers of our kids, home partners, business partners, and family caretakers. Sometimes one or more of those roles are not working but the others are. Maybe we are having sex but not enough of it. Maybe we want to do things with/to our AP that we would not want to do with our wives because we put them on a pedestal (for example, I never sent my wife a sext or had sex with her in a car). Or maybe we are going through a period of resentment and anger and are pissed at them in the moment and need someone to complain to. And...I will dare say it...men may lie to get laid (sorry bros).
