Men, whats the most hurtful thing you’ve overheard about yourself by accident?

Not necessarily about me, but it definitely involved me. I was probably 17 at the time and my parents were separating. We all lived under the same roof for about a year before my mom got her own place, so things were tense for a long time. I could get onto the roof from my bedroom window, so one night while I was up there checking out the stars, my parents came out to the back porch and started arguing. Overheard my dad say that he'd "take down this whole family" to get away from my mom. I didn't even know what that meant at the time (I guess I still really don't 10 years later), but that was the first time I'd felt an intense anger toward anyone. Suddenly my dad seemed like an evil villain after I'd looked up to him for so many years. Our relationship has gotten better since then, but I'll never forget how that made me feel.
