Men who began working out in their mid to late 20s, what finally motivated you?

I started going because I was balding. I started balding when I was 27 years old. When I tuned 30 it was getting impossible to hide, hair fibers can only do so much lol I even got a hair transplant but it didn't go too well.

So I decided to take my fitness seriously. I was chubby and soft, 5'10" 185lbs when I started. I DID NOT want to be the bald, chubby, ugly guy. The idea of being bald, out of shape made and ugly me incredibly sad. It destroyed the little confidence I had in myself. I thought no women would find me attractive. So that was my motivation, very shallow I know lol

I started incredibly slow, I only went to the gym once a week for 10mins for the 1st few weeks. I would run 1 mile and go home lol Whenever I did not want to go I would tell myself it was only for 10 mins. I did not even lift weights until 4 months of going to the gym, I would just run. Too intimidated to lift any weights.
