You are not oppressed. I promise.

If you have enough of a voice to tell others how oppressed you are--especially if the people you're telling are supposedly your oppressors--then you are not oppressed. If you were oppressed, you would not have a voice to tell anyone about it; the nature of oppression is silence.

Being personally offended by something is not the same as being oppressed, and hiding behind claims of "racism" or "sexism" or "microaggression" or any other buzz word of cancel culture only serves to further invalidate your individuality by contributing to the idea that your pain only matters if it is shared by others of your demographic makeup.
