Men's/Women's Issues Mega Thread

This is not a war of the sexes nor a tu quoque situation, I'm 14 years in the game of putting my eight hours and I'm speaking purely from years of observation.

At work, I very often wonder if I'm experiencing real life or an American high school clique movie written and directed by Satan.

It's almost a given, the minute a new girl arrives, female co-workers might feign a warm welcome for a while, show the new girl around and even make small talk but that soon wears off and gives way to vicious gossip, humiliation, isolation, immediately reporting every single rookie mistake she makes instead of trying to help her and a collective shitty and petty treatment that borders on psychological torture. This is specially sad when the new girl is an immigrant because they are more likely to suck it up and carry on in order to keep the job.

If she's lucky, she won't be seen as competition and will be fine but if she's unlucky enough to be young, attractive or commits the mortal sin of having an easier time being friends with male co-workers, she might as well just quit and go into witness protection because her character will be dragged to kingdom come.

Now, I don't know if they just wanna bend the new girl into submission just for kicks or if It's an effed up bonding ritual among women but it makes me sick to see the same stuff play out time and time again and have people dismiss it as a girls thing like they're not adults. Absolutely disgusting.
