Mental Health Among Park Rangers

I hate to say this, and it is by no means your fault, but the NPS is overall terrible for mental health. I feel like there are always a handful of suicides by park employees a year across the nation. Why does the NPS have a mental health issue? In my opinion (not that anyone asked), the NPS takes people who are passionate about the field and abuses that passion until your burned out. If you look at the survey (which I currently can't find) NPS is bottom of the barrel. Low pay, politics, and lack of competent management all culminates in a horrific work culture overall. Are there amazing park units that prioritize mental health? 1000% but for every park that does 10 more don't.
