Mental Health Response Teams Yield Better Outcomes Than Police In NYC, Data Shows

I feel like there's this theme on this subreddit of letting the right-wing constantly dictate behavior, strategy, policy. The right will complain about literally anything...a couple of months ago they were pissy about Mr. Potato Head all because the AP mis-read a press release.

If they're going to whine about everything and anything, you might as well do what works. "Defund" was a pressure campaign centered at electeds in municipal areas...and, I dunno, in my area 18 months later we now have a huge caucus of defund candidates who are about to go into office.

I think there's something kind of patronizing about centering the marketing side of "Defund." It's like, this came from grassroot organizers in POC organizations who have been at this for years. From what experience are you better at organizing strategy than them?
