Merkley wants to abolish the Electoral College; introduces Constitutional Amendment

This has it 8.8 million votes for Clinton and 4 5 million for Trump. That's a win by millions to lose by a million in the difference. The difference is also more than the populations of half the states in the country. California has over 10 million more people in it than the next state. About 10 states have 10 million people in them. Those 10 states are the ones whose voice would be heard for the entire nation and California's would be loudest of all. No one would hear the small states because even if every person voted it wouldn't make a difference in the vote totals.
