Make a mess of my car ... get messy yourself

I guess it is a small town New England thing. You must not have police officers like we do here. Almost every interaction I have had with an officer, including the ones where I was dead wrong speeding to work, have been civil and most have been openly friendly. I wave to them and they wave back. They act more like neighbors than prison guards. They will come to our homes and talk about bullying with our young kids (both sides of issue). They stayed parked with my wife when she broke down until I could get to her. When I was a kid, a policeman gave me a ride as I was walking home from school because it was pouring rain.

I guess there are many different America's out there.

Since I am slag deficient what does 'condition' mean in this context?
