A message from the Yale School of Architecture

The majority of undocumented immigrants don't make a run for the border. Most undocumented are people who fly in with a valid visa, then over stay. The only people who think that our current post 9/11 security isn't enough are letting racist stereotypes muddy their thinking, and even if the old cliches are true, if someone can run across the border, then they can also shimmy up a rope. I see nothing about increased patrols in the plan.

Meanwhile, it would take 15 million to get clean water in Flint. The rest of the money could go to Veteran's Affairs for adequate medical care for vets, or could plug the budget holes in Medicare or Social Security. It could go a long way towards upgrading our ancient infrastructure so bridges don't collapse and power plants can use technology that's not from 20 years ago. Saying that the Affordable Care Act is too expensive but we can spend a billion on a wall that can't span the Rio Grande canyon, that is just bullshit grandstanding that won’t secure a damn thing but will waste a suspicious amount of money for a conservative government that is in theory about keeping down frivolous spending.
