I met Lachlan Giles today and he was very cool

"being condescending as hell" can't disagree, my bad. It's just that I've come across so many people in BJJ who put the sport/martial art in the same category as endurance sports like cycling, running etc. Like to the point where anyone with a halfway decent build gets hit with the steroid stamp by these folks right away.

It's just frustrating because to me, someone like Lachlan comes no where close to failing the "eye test", but because he doesn't have the build of a cross-country runner, a certain percentage of people in this community immediately begin to treat him with suspicion. It's unfair and undermines everything he's accomplished as a competitor.
