[Meta] Is anyone else beginning to be bothered by the amount of negativity on this sub?

i just want to say every dogs personality is different just like people no two dogs are the same. one of my dogs is what would be called a high energy dog she's a catahoula leopard dog which can be used as a herding/hunting dog and most people think she's a senior dog ever since i got her and she's only 3-4 and have had her since she was 8 months old. she's very very calm and i don't have a yard for her but she's very calm compared to other dogs her breed especially at her age.

same with my lab mix. she's mixed with lab pit bull and greyhound which are also high energy dogs. however she's very calm too and she's older at 9 yrs. other than her separation anxiety i've had to work through she's a very easy going lazy dog that just wants to cuddle and has been since i got her at 5 years of age. not every dog is the same.

i also want to add that a dogs personality can depend on the humans personality as well not necessarily how you raise them. i had the sweetest GSD got her as a 12 week old puppy had her for almost a year and then ex lost his job long story short working 70+ hours a week just didn't work and my dad took her in and kept her. she loved going to the dog park and was a very sweet sociable dog and loved people when i had her. now she cant even be near a strange person let alone a dog without barking and snarling wanting to rip their head off. my dad is also a very angry person and hard to get along with and step mom hated the dog at first and didn't socialize with her at all.

with the proper training, a good attitude, and unconditional love, a dog can be a great addition to your family young or old big or small.
