The fact that I like most about this video is, that it is highly controversial - which indicates that nobody "understands" the game completely.

The sad part is, however, that there are a lot of people who see a video of a "meta"-build, and don't reflect on it, they just click some buttons to make their build look the same, and everyone who didn't do that is a scrub, while themselves they sometimes don't even know their traits.

In the end it comes down to what you enjoy while playing GW2. Either is it doing stuff with friends, and people you like?(great, that's what the game is made for) Or is it theorycrafting and maxing out numbers, killing bosses really fast, setting up world records? (which is totally fine too, hell competetive pve is what makes it interresting!!!). Or is it clicking somewhere on the screen, where some dude on the interwebs said, not knowing what's going to happen, but be extremely confident that you are a godly fucking hero for it (In which case your LFG tooltip should be "Looking for people to shit on their heads, for not being what i want them to be" - and create new insults for the old ones are not enough for those scrubs who actually want to understand some shit)

I have met "icebow-meta" people who are nice, who are eager to show you how to do stuff, and who would help you if you fucked up. I have met necrowaldipugs who just knew their class, and played with traps and whatnot, and the run was insanely fun! And I have met 12 year olds who call you a retarded faggotfuckerdipshitsack because were the last person standing in a fractal, and actually trying to solo the last 5% of that fucking bosses health, but jesus, you have vitality in your rings, you fucking scrub.

Woah there. enough rant now. I like gw2. and there will always be people who don't fit your expectations. Just... let it go, and look for someone else.
