[Meta] Updating Subreddit rules - What counts as Low-effort?

Regarding (1), repetitive posts and low effort submissions.

I don't want to see more posts get smashed by the low effort hammer. So some posts that are weak get through, just let them live or die by their engagement? Is this a real problem that needs fixing?

Possible solutions: Adding clear, coherent parameters on what counts as low-effort

Please no. There are already plenty of things that have been added to the "low effort" section of the rules. I'd much prefer the sub let through some bad things than kept adding to that list.

But some text posts spark some discussion,

Yes, so let them live.

so we (mods) occasionally find ourselves disagreeing over what falls under this category, since we have no strict definition of what constitutes low-effort.

Is this an example of a post that mods disagree about? https://old.reddit.com/r/chess/comments/11272me/why_do_i_keep_losing_after_playing_a_certain/

I'm not saying its a great post (like the answer is just "you are getting tired everyone does, chess is hard" or something), but are these sorts of posts such a problem that you need to write a specific entry to make sure you can remove them? I sure don't think so. If anything the solution is just "don't worry that the occasional poor post gets through our filter".
