Metahumans/Superheroes

Evolved human-type categories:

Cyborgs: Not robots in the classic sense but people with missing limbs or severally damaged bodies can apply for special cybernetic limbs that function just like regular ones. Some agencies have upgraded certain limbs for people in certain job areas added stipulations involved.

Psychics: After generations of mental illness ravaging several nations the discovery of ancient alien ruins in 2045 unlocked the secrets to higher consciousness. While humans still rank low on the psy-scale compared to aliens. Several human-psychics join the Academy an organization within the Union to receive special training and job placement within Union-aligned governments. Earth has imposed strict laws banning human psychics from certain job fields. In order to work many of psychics are forced to abide by Academy’s strict code of Conduct.

Tatted/Branded-Hybrids: In 2047 four nations on Earth stumbled on mysterious ruins that led to vast amounts of an unknown type of radiation leaking throughout the area of its discovery. In 2069, the people and families who were infected with the radiation began to develop strange looking markings on their bodies first starting on the hand or foot but as generations progressed people started having their entire arm covered in these strange markings. Numerous reports claimed that the people with the markings demonstrated unique abilities but vastly unstable. After mass riots United Earth decided to draft the tatted humans into the military for training and testing.

Where do superpowers come from? Cyborgs: Cybernetic limbs and body parts, neuro-chips, the body must not reject the limb.

Psychics: Genetics and it is passed to the child of the same sex or if both parents are psychics the child will have powers regardless of gender, Mental conditioning, psychoactive drugs, emotional awareness, training on understand the self

Tatted-Hybrids: Genetics, solar and lunar radiation ,

How common are superpowers?

Cyborgs: It depends on the person if he or she is in the military or in a field where they need weapons.

Psychics: Humans are limited in their captivity for psy-abilites so higher leveled psychics are rare but people with empathy and telepathy are common in certain gene pools.

Tatted-Hybrids: If a person has the genes to support the powers I usually is one that has been in their bloodline for years. (Metal, wood, radiation, lighting)

Who are the biggest hitters?

Depending on the training an individual has adds some merit. I mean at the end of the day I kind of want to turn this idea into a RPG- Game.<< Tatted-Hybrids: Hybrids able to manipulate primordial forces but as the generations continue the more unstable the tatts are. The more a person uses their powers the more the tattoos spread this causes them to suffer health problems. Psychic: Telepathy does not work on cyborgs but empathy does; due to the manifestation of the aura around every living thing. Cyborgs can have various attachments added so making them a jack-of all trades. Do you have superhuman groups? Well there are organizations and factions within the story but the main group is made up of people from the three meta-human categories
