But you're telling me (a white guy) that Boston has issues with racism? No way! This is only the hundredth or so time i've heard of a problem like this! I haven't heard anyone call me (a white guy) any racial slurs. So there can't be any issues! This is just ridiculous!

Boston Fans, this is how we sound when we act surprised by these stories. Yes, there might be more racist parts of the country out there, but we're a major sports market and the spotlight will always be on us. Not that being under the scope means that we should be held to a higher standard than any other city, but that, along with the fact that WE HAVE A DEEP SEATED HISTORY OF RACISM THAT IS STILL ALIVE AND REAL is why these stories keep coming out.
