The Microsoft multiverse

This is a complete tangent, but I do genuinely fear the death of the industry sometimes.

Like I consider that some day I might wake up and just see that the entire industry has imploded for some dumb reason, and all the big companies just go full Konami and say "we're done making games", and then there's nothing but indie developers who make games for PC or for the last remaining hardware to be released.

And to take a hard left turn, I also have the slight worry that in the coming fascist uprising, there could be a legit restriction placed on gaming. Insert obvious "gamers oppressed" jokes here, but the previous administration was touting the talking points of "games cause violence" and suggesting that their use should be restricted, so I really do have a slight fear that if the country goes full fascist and decides to just start making insane restrictions for the sake of a "better" citizenry, restricting how you spend your free time with something like gaming is really on the table.

TLDR: I sometimes get really bummed out that I'm watching the end of gaming as a hobby, in multiple ways.
