For those that want to jump straight to the conclusion of this video, it generally starts around the 1:06:15 time mark. The main concluding statements seemed to be: "Hollywood, with the CIA and Pentagon in tow had long been into counter culture movements and steering toxic culture creation in general." and "This is predictive programming, wrapped up in a full-on occult ritual primer". I liked this film, does this mean I was brain washed? Then I need more films from master washer Ari Aster!
Truthstream Media covers various 'mind control' topics like on MKUltra and its worth checking out their YT channel if that kind of thing interests you. This latest video on Midsommar really needs to be edited better and cut shorter. For example, at the 46:13 time mark, you can hear the audio overlap with another audio snippet and it appears like many ideas were just hastily put together. I don't dislike their video, but really wished that it was better organized, because they did present a few interesting ideas and images from their research on this film. Some of the narration seemed to wander and jump around, if you listen through to the end.
There are parts of the video where it attempts to link together ideas in the film to the broader theories of 'secret societies', the Illuminati, and the new world order. If you wandered around the net, you might have heard about these theories before. But the statements they make to support this are tenuous and debatable imo. Here are some of them that stood out for me:
9:26 Talked about when the group first entered the village, and the Harga male told them that "his dress is meant to symbolized and venerate Hermaphrodite... also most symbolized in modern times as Baphomet, the hermaphroditic goat person venerated by many secret societies." Apparently Hermaphrodite is the offspring of Hermes and Aphrodite (Greek gods), but how is this suddenly related to Baphomet, which is from a different era? There isn't enough information given after this statement, narrator goes on to other topics.
20:14 Video has old, historic photos of bears used in other ancient rituals, but does not explain any info on them (What date, which tribe, why?). I wanted to know more about the bear in other tribal rituals! But sadly, not much information was given!
28:55 Talks about symbolism of fire, with statement "this aspect is symbolized significantly by the Greek titan Prometheus and the biblical figure Lucifer..." Again, linking two different deities from different times. Not enough information further supporting that link.
37:13 Video contains a snippet taken from Ruptly news, on the opening ceremony of the Gotthard Tunnel (June 1, 2016), and shows bizzare ritual ceremony being conducted, zooms in on head of a goat's head. The women are shown wearing flower crowns. No other information is presented on this, the narrators are talking about other concepts. Should at least mention the background information on the Ruptly video and specifically how its related to the film.
47:28 talks about the use of scapegoats in rituals... then abruptly adds on at the end, "Bohemian Grove is a classic example as well." Proceeds to show old b&w video snippets of 'elites' attending a ritual at Bohemian Grove, which was thought of as a secret society. The elites wear white robes and do a ritual where they burn an effigy in front of an owl statue called Moloch. The suggestion is that the Fire Temple scene is a re-enactment of the Bohemian Grove rituals, which is practiced by the "elites."
49:57 Talks about the Wicker Man ritual, which was based on a Beltane tradition of Scotland. Not much information afterwards on the Wicker Man film and how it relates to Midsommar.
51:01 Talks about human sacrifices, and the possibility that it still goes on today in certain pockets around the plant. Narrator says " as twisted as this cult is, our broader western society really does not have a problem letting people die or go neglected." Again, would like more information presented that supports this, on human sacrifices still being practiced in modern times and practiced by whom?
54:48 Shows artwork posted online, some were probably taken from this subreddit. At least maybe show the redditor's username on the video to specifically give them credit for the artwork?
1:02:20 Shows the symbolism behind the "all seeing eye", in the final Fire Temple scene. The suggested link is the final scene where the temple topples over, with Dani's face on it, is similar to the symbol of the Illuminati and "all seeing eye."
By juxtaposing parts of the film with mentions of "secret societies, Illuminati, Lucifer, Baphomet, etc" the narrators were basically saying both are about the same thing, and not about contrasting or opposing ideas. I can give this interpretation the benefit of the doubt, just wanted more information supporting that viewpoint. I might not agree fully, but can appreciate that these Youtubers took the time to create and upload their own thoughts on it. Just wished it was better organized, thats all.
