Might join anon, not even lying

In 2007 I had a job lined up just before graduation. 3.2 GPA, no internships, no clubs/sports/extra curriculars. No diversity points. No charisma. I did a grand total of like 5 half-assed job fair interviews which resulted in a follow up regular interview which was really just a tour of the facility and a 5 minute sit-down with HR. Got the offer and took the job. Stayed there until 2016 when I applied for a job in a different industry. Got an interview and an offer right away.

It's different for everybody but I admit I could not have had it any easier. I live in fear of the day I'm on the wrong side of 40, need to find a new job and might actually have to work for it.
