They might just do the best thing to solve the 5th card issue!

This is erroneous thinking. Human thought process wants PROGRESS . It wants a return on investment. It wants patterns. IF WotC went the way of Duels (now defunct for a reason, it was making half the money MTGO was), then entire sets would be collected within DAYS of Whales buying the top tier packs with bonus boosters in them. Then what? When they open a pack or do 5 drafts of that set in one weekend, the packs have NO cards in them? Can they even buy packs at that point? The draft is fun but at the end of it they keep... NONE of the cards they picked because they already have them all? At that point, ALL forward progress stops. Period. All purchases stop except for event entry.

WotC has expressed they have exactly no reason to humor the system that the psuedo magic game Duels had. They are looking for a system that fairly gives the player some kind of progression no matter what packs they buy, but doesn't create the problem where buying JUST packs of cards from a set you have 100% is more rewarding than buying new card sets.

I thought we educated everyone better than this on the matter?
