Might as well try it again and see if we can hurry it up.

I want to see Citizens United overturned. It basically says that corporations are people and money is speech. That they can use their money to make campaign contributions. This basically allows corporations to determine what candidates get shuffled out in front of us. Candidates rely on these contributions to pay for advertising and exposure to the American public.

It passed on a 5-4 vote on the Supreme Court. 5 republicans, 4 democrats. Scalia died. He was a republican. The republican congress stonewalled Obama's pick of Garland for a reason. They want to keep a majority on the Supreme Court. If I was going to vote on a single issue, I would have chosen Hillary just so that the democrats could get their guy on the Supreme Court and get Citizens United overturned.

Ruth Bader Ginsberg is 84 years old. She's a democrat. She voted against Citizens United. The odds are good the republicans will take a 6-3 lead on the Supreme Court, and they keep nominating candidates that support Citizens United. It won't get better.
