What specifically do you completely disagree with? I'm not upset. And I laugh at this stuff too. I think I'm more on your side than you think.

What part of my comment are you disagreeing with? Do you disagree that Noel's portrayal of New Orleans culture is innacurate? Do you disagree that they're mixing different black cultures together? Do you disagree that the accent is stereotypical?

Or do you just disagree with the fact that I think people should be more sensitive about how they portray characters that are deeply rooted in cultural and religious practices? I'm honestly curious.

I just don't personally find any satire in the Jazz character. He's just a goofy caricature of a Zulu warrior/blues man/ voodoo witch doctor.

It's funny, but it could be just as funny without doing an impression of a marginalized group.

I've already said I've got no problem with Rudi, which would make an SJW shake with rage. So meet me half way and give me the benefit of the doubt and at least try to understand my point. I definitely understand yours. The character is funny and goofy and makes me laugh. In a world where black people in the America south were never enslaved and mocked in the media for a century, then I wouldn't have a single problem with a little cultural insensitivity. That's the reason why white people don't give a shit when Dave Chappelle does white face and a WASP accent. Nobody has a problem with being the butt of the joke once in a while. But after hundreds of years of mockery, even a little bit of cultural insensitivity is going to be seen a lot differently.
