20-30 years ago FSG would have been the perfect owners. Investments need to have an expenditure ceiling but European football has allowed itself to get to this point where there is no ceiling. They have no further to take this club as an investment and that's fine, that's not who they are or who they ever were and we knew that.

Nowadays in football, you win if you have deeper pockets so I'd jump ship if I were them, no ones blaming them. Obviously you still need to be smart about how you use it, but the fact of the matter is having deeper pockets is now step 1. Artificially inflating your revenue is step 2. Being smart is way down the line. Which is just shite for the game and depressing to think about.
