A few years ago when I was young and naive, I wanted to join the parachute regiment and went for an interview at my local army careers office.

The man interviewing me was a sergeant and combat veteran, one of the biggest idiots I've ever spoken to. If he wasn't an ultra British nationalist robot, he was a brainwashed ultra British nationalist fool on all sorts of drugs. It was fucking surreal.

As soon as I got out of the office, I laughed in disbelief and literally said, ''nope..''.

I'm honestly thankful that I didn't buy into their bullshit and I easily could've done back then, unfortunately a couple of my friends did.

They only joined because they were young, naive and there wasn't much else for them, perfect recruits for the British army!

I guess the only positive thing is they're both still alive but they'll never be the same again and one of them probably feels he would be better off dead. The British army has fucked them good and proper, taken them from Wales as kids straight to the frontline and brought them back as shadows of themselves. It's fucking sad looking into your friends glistening eyes and seeing nothing but emptiness.

I look forward to the day where we don't see British soldiers training in our mountains, their helicopters and jets training in our skies, they're recruitment offices long gone and young Welshmen fighting for a better Wales instead of the British state.
