Military members of reddit, what’s one thing you wish that you knew before joining?

See, financially I was fine. I could have made it an extra month or two, but I had some unexpected expenses pop up, and it delayed some things. Bot a big deal.

It is unacceptable to expect an e-3 or some other junior enlisted personnel to be ok. Especially if they dont have very much time in.

Can you imagine being the supervisor in the room, when these kids dont know what the fuck is happening, they have never experienced anything like it, and you dont have answers?

What about some if these guys that just had kids, and maybe or maybe not they have medical expenses that tricare wont cover, because its bit like that happens.

Maybe if you had some empathy, and put yourself in some of my guys shoes, then you would understand.

Again, I was fine. But I should not have to put the decisions that some fucking morons I Washington on my back and deliver them to my subordinates.
