Military panels should have gender parity, advocate says after N.S. acquittal

This man was found innocent by the Military Justice System. The wording of this article still portrays the accused as an assaulter and the accuser as a victim. This doesn't help his image going forward in his career and in life. The prosecution failed to provide proof that a crime was committed. Guilty or not, he was found innocent "FULL STOP"!!

If he is actually innocent he should be filing a suit for defamation of character against the accuser. All I know is that if I was falsely accused of something as heinous as sexual assault I would do everything in my power to bring the pain down on the other party! It would be no holds bars!

I'm glad I'm married because it would be awfully funny to hook up with someone and have to ask them if they are alright with me wearing a GO PRO instead of a CONDOM for protection. All jokes aside, it seems like that's what it's coming to these days.

I have no idea what it's like to be a victim of sexual assault or what my mind set would be if it happened. That being said, I think resources should be put forward to educate members on what you should do if you find yourself a victim of sexual assault. Anything that can be done to ensure the best possible outcome for a sexual assault trial is worth it.
