The milky way was talking to you because you are a part of the milky way. Therefore anything you think is technically a thought from the milky way lol. but yeahhhh i wouldnt focus too much on how you get to a certain message in a trip bc you can think things are happening that really are just manifestations of your mind and psychedelics have a tendency to make people very susceptible to persuasions including ones made up by your own self. I just try to focus on was I able to pull anything out of the trip that i can apply to my actual life. Really wierd things can happen in a trip but just because it feels real doesnt mean it is and i know a fair amount of people that trip looking for "universal truths" is best i can explain where they think they gain some sort of otherworldly knowledge from tripping which is silly and sometimes it can lead down a negative path for them. Im not saying you are doing this I just didn't know if this milky way talking to you through your thoughts thing is you just explaining a thought that popped in your head while tripping or if you actually think the milky way was talking to you bc obviously you took drugs and experienced the latter. I was once in a very heavy experience where i thought there wasnt a difference between me thinking about me and my buddy traveling the world and us actually doing it but obviously i was just trippin sack because i didnt travel the world with him lol. I guess all im trying to say is domt get too far out there
