Millennials are blamed for "killing" Applebees, the diamond industry, the mall, golf, napkins, razor blades, Disney World, and all kinds of other things. What have other generations "killed" in the same way?

America’s? There’s massive signs of an imminent recession atm (the federal bank tried to lower rates to lower the chances but just yesterday China letting their currency value fall to a specific point and the president putting new tariffs on basically everything caused another big shock

I suggest looking into it more yourself because I am NOT a person qualified to explain this :P.)

But tldr we have gone from getting better during Obama to being stagnant (basically) under trump(not to say staying the same is a bad thing on its own), but now with the trade war getting more and more reckless the economy is feeling the shocks, and one of the big “look out for this” signs that has preceded every recession in the past few decades just happened.

(I tried not to make it political but when it’s source it’s the trade war that’s kinda fucking hard ok D:)

Not to mention the “economy being good” is mostly referring to the stock market (which is also stagnating).

Not the individual household. People have gone from One job sustaining the family to needing 2 or 3 just to feed everyone, with an average smaller family too, and higher cost of living

And millions are being trapped under debt just to go to college now that they will not be able to payoff for decades.

TLDR: only on the surface from a specific perspective.
