Fuck America if our greatness is based on greed and destruction. We let the Germans and the Japanese live, and built them up afterwards. We were the great ones. That has been thrown away. This country has cancer, and it is getting sicker as the years go by, and one day it won't be what it once was.
Look, I have eight more classes until I get my degree. No loans, just lousy construction work, lifting heavy crap, doesn't matter if it is 20 below freezing, or hot as hell in the summer. Have I done it in four years? No. Have I done it with no debt and my dignity in tact, yes. Success in America should not be contingent on military service Man up, go out and struggle. That is what men in this country have done since the beginning. Don't go rely on some old white man to pamper you and hide you from the financial difficulty of MAKING IT IN THIS WORLD. We all have to struggle. If you dodge that struggle by making money at the expense of ethics then you are against what this country was created to stand for.
Again, if a person decides to join the military for real, good intentions, then I find no fault in them. If you need an education you need to sacrifice. There are no guarantees. You own nothing when you come in this world. You have to go and get it for yourself. The issue with gaining this through military service is that there are people's lives on the stake. War causes innocent children to die, innocent mothers to die, innocent fathers to die, and more often than not just causes more turmoil and enemies in the end. Is that worth your path to a more comfortable living? That is pathetic. That is the worm, the spineless man's path to success.
Now, hearing all this, do you think I think soldiers should be paid as much as they are? I think they should be paid 5 times more than they get as it currently is! What they do is worth so much more than what they get, ESPECIALLY after they are home. I merely say that a person who joins purely for unethical reasons, for money, is doing wrong, and our culture should change that.
You didn't hear me. Is there a person or group out there who can invade us, harm us, destroy us, hurt my family? I don't see it. When that day comes, sign me up. That is the day when it is worth it that other people's children will die, and their innocent mothers, and grandmothers, because we will have saved ours in our path to kill their soldiers.
