"A million refugees made shockwaves in your country (1% of the German population) but you think it is rightful to judge a country where non-hispanic whites make up only 63% of the population."

That is the beautiful story the media paints, but it's not true (and you do admit that a bit), we don't have a big racist problem, but there is a lot of underling racism in the society, just go to a football mach, it's pass to back, fuck that black (when half the players are black), you may thing this is not done is bad form, and most this people don't treat black people worse, but shows there is a lot of grouping involved and dorment racism.

Or just ask a Brazilian (or just someone with an accent even if Portuguese and has a good salary) how getting a house for rent.

Or the gypsys, try and be normal member of society as a gypsy and see how that works, without having to work though a fuckton of racism.

It's pretty easy to think there is no racism from a position of privilege when you are white and don't experience it, we are not bad, we are probably in the top 1/3rd of the word in terms of less racism, but this is not perfect by any means and there is a lot of potencial to grown if a opportunist politician appears (this is probably one of the few things I admire in out politicians, lack of racism/nationalist populism).

Sorry but your comment reminds me of the comments here, but for Portugal, no we are not a paradise, but like america our media (and prob. something that came from the dictatorship) loves to say that we are and say we have the best nature (we don't even have real native forests just eucalyptus that burn), best people, best olive oil (this one is a big joke outside here), etc.
