That rretty well sums up the situation.
They want you to look at right wing terrorism incidents but they don't want to look at the incidents themselves or the larger political context. There are a lot problem with those sort of stats. You go through em and it's full of incidents like:
1) A guy gets into an argument with another guy over a parking space, and one of them pulls out a knife and kills the other dude, then it later turns out the murderer said something racist on the internet once, therefore RIGHT WING TERRORISM!
2) An Aryan Brotherhood shot caller orders another inmate killed for refusing to be a drug mule, therefore RIGHT WING TERRORISM!
Not to mention all the times they conflate White Power terrorism incidents with Sovereign Citizen terrorism incidents and just call it "Right Wing" terrorism. They have to conflate and assume a lot of motives in order to get domestic "right wing" terrorism numbers to any way equal islamic terrorism statistics I mean, am I the only one who sees the problem with throwing people who want an ultra authoritarian government and people who effectively want no government on the same damn list?
The reason the left is not competitive in terrorism numbers is because 1) the FBI pretty effectively destroyed the low level communist insurgency we had in the United States in the 1970s 2) left wing terrorists are astonishingly incompetent (the weather underground blew themselves with their own bomb) 3) the left focuses on lower levels of violent force to avoid Federal attention, they prefer to engage in politically motivated felony assaults, threats, vandalism, rioting, doxxing, etc. and 4) a lot of ringleaders from the the really violent left wing terrorist groups of the past got cushy jobs in academic institutions, so they were less willing to risk their asses through direct involvement with violent action, since now they have the option to engage in low key subversion at the institutional level. Guys like Bill Ayers were protected and hidden by the National Lawyers Guild, and he spent most of his time "on the run" chilling out on a private yacht. Contrast that with Eric Rudolph, who had to live in the woods during the day time, and sneak into town at night and eat out of dumpsters like a raccoon. The left has institutional support, the right generally has to rely on lone wolves.
