Public schools aren't really infrastructure. But in fact, I fully support the immigrants not going to government schools ( or anybody else ). Those things aren't schools, they are prisons and indoctrination centers for kids. I saw first hand how they terrorized the kids in an immigrant neighborhood.
The first one, there was this perfectly normal boy, but the school system tried to categorize him as ADHD and demanded he be doped up on meds he didn't need. His immigrant mother didn't know better. That way, they could stick him in a special needs school where the state pays them twice as much per student.
The second one, was this little girl that was friends with my daughter. She would come home with perfect scores on all her tests, but when I looked at them, almost all the answers were incorrect. They were just pushing her through, and her immigrant mom never knew the better. But then the worst part was, once a year the schools had these standardized tests, and these tests had something to do with federal funding. They would terrorize the hell out of her, and threaten her that if she didn't get a perfect score her mom would be deported, her and her family would die and starve, and it would be all her fault. This 8 yr old girl would come over terrorized shaking and crying. It was really hard to believe this was going on in the USA.
When they got out of there, they didn't know math or writing skills too well, but sure as hell knew of all good things progressive. Parents from traditional US families often have values that counter all this crap, but many immigrants are simply fucked. If you think the immigrants are the problem with the school system, I've got news for you.
