Mind if I take a text dump?

I've have friends who've tried to kill themselves multiple times, I've been in situations to where I'm holding a friends legs up while their arm is gushing blood. I've seen the incredible pain and darkness.

One of my best friends, we used to play Age of Empires 2 together.. he was harassed at school badly. He ended up hanging himself at a local university from a tree.

He refused to get help. My other friends that've gone through similar situations got help. It REALLY works. There's a certain spirit or bonding that people have that help them feel warmth, as if someone actually loves them and cares about them and is okay for who they are, including their sexual orientation.

My best advice is to make yourself get help even if it's one of us on Reddit, at least for now but better yet stick with a therapist, they're like a compass, they'll guide you through this darkness you're in.

My friend I mentioned earlier, I wish he would have got help. Going to his funeral, seeing his mom in a zombie state, putting her fingers in his ashes.. it was a serious mindfuck for me. Don't be him, get help, it works.

And you really should consider distancing yourself from your family even if you're staying at a LGBT shelter. The truth to the matter is, you may never be able to change their minds but that doesn't mean you can't still love them and visit them. Just don't let them be the reasoning of your demise.
