Minimalism and Phones.

I have a Sony XZ1C, which is quite small in size compared to other phones.

I have a very limited amount of apps, all of them useful and used regularly. No social media, no games. I use Nova Launcher with an icon pack of simple, all white icons.

Apps I have (on top of standard, built-in apps like camera or clock, etc.)

  • Signal (SMS app)
  • Outlook (for work, I use the built-in email app for my personal emails)
  • Spotify
  • Audible
  • Brain Focus (Pomodoro timer)
  • Garmin Connect (for my running watch)
  • Banking app
  • Dropbox (photo backup)
  • Feedly (RSS feed reader)
  • Firefox
  • Google Keep
  • Kijijij
  • LastPass
  • Google Maps
  • ScanBot Pro
  • Stocard

I use Nova to hide all the apps I don't use and can't disable. I have nothing on my home screen, only 4 apps on my dock (Phone, SMS, Email, Spotify) since they are the four apps I use the most. I have only one app page in my drawer.

Things like Outlook, I keep hidden and access by the search function. I want easy access to my work emails if needed, but I don't want to see the icon reminding me of my work emails.
