Minimalism and wedding planning?

My wedding was minimal and I loved it. We married on our 10 year dating anniversary which happened to be a Wednesday. We married in an old school house that had been converted into a museum and had light refreshments that followed. No dance, no DJ; we had it in the afternoon and we were done by 4 pm. My decorations were handmade and recyclable, the refreshments were on serving dishes I already owned or bought cheaply and then resold, We didn’t have flowers. There was maybe 40 people, most of them friends, and I was that “horrible” bride that told all of our extended family that this wedding wasn’t about them and because of when we had it, it wasn’t worth it for them to even come into town for something that took four hours. Family tried to guilt trip me and I had none of it. Take down time was 15 minutes and keepsakes were minimal to fit with our (more mine really) lifestyle.
