I'm talking about political influence and lobbying power. If you believe that Israel is uninterested in the welfare of Jews abroad, you are mistaken. If you do not think that the British Jewish community is uninterested in the Parliamentary attitude to Israel, then think again. This isn't a Jewish conspiracy theory, I'm talking about the way the British Jewish community would respond, with votes and with PR exercises, against any party that legislated against their interests. The same way as, for example, the unions and the CBI do.

It has been the policy of Israel since that time that nobody be allowed to divide Jews from the rest of a population. This was a major aggravating factor at Entebbe for example and the Israeli response was decisive.
If you believe that your proposed anti-stun legislation will excite no comment in the Jewish community, when it it singles them out as a population then you have a rude awakening coming.
