[Misc] TIL That Canadians really are as nice as everyone says they are

I woke up today not feeling very well due to some kind of stomach bug I developed last night, so I decided to stay home and not go to classes. I did mostly nothing for the majority of the day, and then after I managed to keep down some dinner, I decided to play Destiny. Since I didn't have any homework or other obligations, I decided to try to find a group to help me through my first ever raid on the Vault of Glass. Classes and other things ad kept me from having enough free time to ever run through it, so I figured, 'Hey I have at least 4 hours that I feel like setting aside for this, why not?' So I hopped on /r/Fireteams and put up a post. 2 minutes later, I get a message and an invite to join as the sixth member of a group. We started up the Vault and we. Absolutely. Killed. It. It took us maybe an hour tops to run through it, only a couple of wipes. And every single person in the fireteam was extremely nice and helpful. We all cracked jokes, we all had fun, we all worked well together, they taught me the things that I needed to know to run the Vault and it was absolutely wonderful. I ended up getting Vision of Confluence and Found Verdict, as well as Chatterwhite. Quite a nice haul for my very first raid ever. Then we get back to orbit and said 'That went by pretty fast. Why don't we take on Crota?' So we set course for the moon and basically the exact same thing happened. Maybe an hour and a half later, we emerged happy and victorious, and I had gotten even more sweet, sweet gear, the Deathsinger's Mantle, the Bone Circlet Warlock Bond, and even the Hunger of Crota*, which I was super psyched to get. And all the while, these people were funny, nice, and just as helpful as can be.

Then I catch them saying that they were from Canada. I hadn't really had many interactions with Canadians before, so I wasn't really sure if they were all as nice as everyone claims that they are. But the stereotype is absolutely true. Seriously. The nicest people I've played with to date, and I've played with some pretty nice people so far. All I can say is thanks you guys, and the Great White North has found another friend. Cheers

TLDR - Group of Canadians helped me breeze my way through my first raid attempts, confirmed the stereotype
