[MISC] Ultimate Masterlist of Good-For-Earth Skincare

" Also, as a side note, here is a small sample of brands that are owned (either partially or outright) by Nestle:

Keihls, LRP, Cerave, Cetaphil. I included this just because I used to love these brands and was really suprised to see them involved with Nestle."

I'm all for being a conscious consumer but can we pleased be a little bit more nuanced about this stuff and not spread misleading information, of those brands only cetaphil is owned by Nestlé through Galderma. The other three are owned by L'oreal of which Nestlé owns a 23% stake, that is a far cry from "owning" the brands in fact saying nestlé owns LRP is just incorrect. They are only 'involved' with Nestlé in so far as the money they make goes to L'oreal and Nestlé will profit off their stock in that company.

Now if you want to make sure nestlé doesn't see a cent of your money then yes you have to avoid L'oreal entirely but they don't 'own' any of L'oreals brands nor do they have a controlling stake in that company.
